The aim of the week is to learn how to speak about your home/room. You´ll need some vocabulary and grammar for this.
So at first please learn some vocabulary in Keeleklikk (www.keeleklikk.ee):
10.1.15-10.1.29 Furniture
10.2.17-10.2.26 Rooms and parts of the house
3.4.15-3.4.20 Colors
You could also learn the furniture vocabulary and the three forms of the word in Quizlet (if you are a user of Quizlet), http://quizlet.com/14594129/flashcards. Search for set “mööbel” created by hiuz(me) when logged in.
After learning the vocabulary learn some grammar about how to say where things are located.
At first you could watch the part 4.1.29 Grammar: I am next to the hotel.
Then watch the parts:
10.1.30-10.1.39 Grammar: The UFO is above the cupboard. etc + speaking to the computer
Then please read the text "Marju kodu" under the section Files. I wrote you about my home, read and understand the text.
And then the task is: to describe your home. Please write what (furniture and other stuff) is in your room and where are the things located (The guitar is under the bed etc). Please notice that there are postpositions in Estonian, so they are located after the main word,
e.g under the bed
is in Estonian voodi all
voodi (bed, II form) all (under)
If your home/room in Tallinn is boring you could describe the place you used to live before Tallinn or make something up. You could use my text as an example and your text can be shorter of course. Pictures are welcome!
Looking forward for you descriptions!
Marju
